The Whole Story in 4 Journal Entries out of 427

Start -

Day 1:

A light rain fell, and

There was an off-putting

Feeling inside of me.

Worms, maybe, I thought.

Is there over the counter

Medicine for that? Probably not.

Just another something to

Add to the list. The

Constant urination is

Becoming quite the chore,

A bullying interference

Throughout the day.

Day 2:

I have to see my doctor.

A referral is coming. I

Just know it; urologist I, suppose.

It’s my best guess. My

Primary said, “my prostate

May be inflamed and

Pinching my urethra.”

She ordered me meds also,

But all I think is cancer.

Day 11:

“We’ll have to do a biopsy,”

He spoke. In the same way a

Gazelle realizes, she won’t be

Able to outrun a lion, I sort

Of know what’s coming.

Good thing I’m already bald.

I’m sure, the doctors will

Want to try chemotherapy. I

Can hide it ‘til my eye brows

Shed my face and disappear

Into nothingness. I don’t

Know how I should feel.
